I Haven't Fallen Off The Face of the Earth or The AtoZ Wrap Up

Hi everybody! Yes, it's been five days, which in internet time you must take your total number of days missing and multiply by 48. Then convert your answer to months. Be sure to show your work.

Yes, last Friday I survived the second Environmental Field Day of 140 first and second graders. You know. The one that the principal decided ON TUESDAY to make indoors at the school. So almost all my months of planning had to be rewritten in two and a half days. Plus all the volunteers had to be notified and their new assignments given out. I was really popular, let me tell you. Not cool, since I'm just a volunteer myself.

Needless to say, even this look is not strong enough to convey the animosity I had in my heart for the principal last week.

But I'm totally over it now.

Mostly.

Anywho, I'm still trying to catch up on all the atoz posts that I missed during my (conniption inducing) days volunteering at my daughter's school. (To be honest, I came home Friday evening, went to put the Urchins to bed at 8, and fell asleep before I could. I didn't wake up until 8 the next morning. Completely unheard of. I was past exhausted.)

As for the AtoZ, I have to say that even though I didn't have the time available that I would have liked to go and visit all the other participants, I still had a great time. I'm not sure if I'll do it again next year, but I'd definitely go say hi to the ones who do (just as I've done in years past.) I've met some fantastic people and have broadened my "must read blogs" list considerably!

So how did you all enjoy yourselves? Do you now have any favorite reruns from Tongue In Cheek? What was your favorite part about the hop? Can't wait to hear!

Until next time, citizens!

Oh, so much math...My head hurts just thinking about it.

Glad to hear you survived both the field day and the A to Z Challenge.

Wow, sounds like that Environmental Field Day is something that'd make me tear my hair out. Grats on surviving that!

I know I never commented on any of your posts (darn phone reading and then work made it difficult for me), but I particularly liked the boxing squirrels and the sideburns.

I think everyone vanished this past weekend.
Glad you had a good time and hope you'll be back next year. Never say never...

You should have shared your 'mad at the principal' with me on Saturday. I could have offered chocolate. Oh, that's right, you brought the chocolate. I loved your rerun posts and you know I'm going to bug you to join in again next year.

And THAT is why I no longer volunteer for things. "No good deed goes unpunished." Besides, you have more important things to do ... like being 'Possum Queen and getting rid of the evil Sea Monkeys. :O

You reeled me in with the boxing taxidermied squirrels and kept me reading through your 'Possum Queenery and beyond. I'm happy to have found your blog and even happier to be following it now.

I'm bummed for you that all your carefully made plans were sidetracked by someone oblivious to the amount of work it would cause to shuffle things around, but I'm glad for you that it's finally over.

Life always loves to throw a curve ball at you, doesn't it?! I mean really! Where does all the time go!
There were just too many blogs to get to during this challenge. And what a challenge. For me it wasn't getting through it, as I prescheduled my posts...it was getting to all the commenters and new blogs! THAT was the challenge!

Congrats on making it!

Hi Ava! Hey - just wanted to let you know I nominated you for a Liebster Award because I love your blog soooo much! Really, yours was definitely one of my favorites from the A to Z Challenge (I mentioned you in my Reflections post, too!). Should you choose to accept the Liebster Award (I know, some people don't particularly like doing this sort of thing, and I completely understand), please visit my latest post to get the rules and questions to answer. I hope you accept! Cheers, marci :D http://fuzzyundertones.com/2014/05/06/i-just-won-a-liebster-award-help-me-pick-out-a-dress/

I laughed out loud the first time I saw this dramatic hamster video and it still never gets old.
I'm so glad I met you through the Challenge!

I'll be interested to see how many people join the A to Z challenge next year after having survived this year. Maybe the memories of all the stress will have disappeared by then.
