Hey everybody! I'm back from retreat and I was BRUTAL on my manuscript. RUTHLESS, I tell you!! Those sea monkeys are now MY Padawan learners. I have one more pass to do, then it's off to my crit partners.
I was Mommy again as soon as I walked in the door and was answering questions from the Youngest Urchin about the scientific origins of flatulence. So it kinda deflated my writing mojo, (I'll save you from posting the transcription. Some of the crazy at Chez Quinn is just too bizarre for public consumption.)
I got nominated for a Leibster Award by the fabulously awesome Marci Koski. If you haven't yet checked out this cool kid, you're missing out! I'll be answering all her probing questions later this month. So stay tuned for an unadulterated peek at me.
Speaking of answering questions, Vicki Smith will be here on Thursday to run the sea monkey interview gauntlet and to tell us a little about her up coming release.
So tell me, how's your writing going? Got a book out you'd like to tell us about? Any probing answers you'd like to give about your life? The comments are yours!

Being rough on it we have to do, lmao that is some science there
I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get to see that transcript...
And good for you for being brutal/ruthless on the manuscript. Like Pat said, it must be done.
Congrats on the award!
Glad your retreat was awesome! My manuscript is back from the editor's desk, and I'm hard at work again.
::snort:: Quite the welcome home! lol Nada on the writing front here since I'm just a blogger :) But bloggings going and the herd babes are being good...for the most part. We only had one thing break today. Woot!
Yes. The scientific reasons of flatulence is a very important topic of discussion and should not be taken lightly. ;0)
What am I working on? A new picture book which is being illustrated now, and will be out later this year, and the seventh book in my chapter book series for young readers (which an agent is trying to find a home for).
Whew! Your work has been through the ringer, eh? (And what kids doesn't want to know about flatulence?)
My writing is going great! I've been working on a serial story while waiting for my editor. 6 episodes outline and one completely written. It's going to be a fun fall. =)
Yay! Glad you had a productive time away. (I know exactly what you mean about being mom the minute you hit the door. *sigh*) Hurry! Get published! I want to read your stuff! :D
My Kindle book baby is rockin' the ranks at the big A. I never expected so much so fast. I'm still in shock.
@Pat- Yes and yes. Both!
@M.J.- lol! It was quite a conversation. Thanks!
@Carol- Glad you're back to work on it!
@Anna- The blog is hilarious! Therefore your writing is going great! And I'm glad they kept the breakage to single digits.
@Sherry- lol. Glad you're keeping up with both the picture and mg projects!
@Crystal- You go!!!
