Happy late Valentine's Day, Citizens. The flu ravaged through our house this weekend, so we might have a do-over on the holiday next weekend.
Hope everyone else's was awesome. Tell me what you did in the comments so I can live vicariously through you!

Eww to the flu, hopefully it has gone far away now. I went to bed, that count as good? lol
Sorry about the flu, that's no fun for holidays. :( I mostly watched the blizzard and snow plows.
Missed you on Saturday. Hope you all feel better soon.
Sorry about the flu, that sucks. Feel better soon. Do over sounds like a great idea.
I did a Valentine's Day takeover on my husband's blog. Though it's coming down soon. You might be able to catch it.
Sorry about the flu. Hope you are all feeling better soon. My husband and I saw American Sniper. Not exactly a Valentine's Day movie, but still a good one. Very sad, though. If you see it, bring a box of tissues.
That sucks. Take a do-over.
Oh, no! So sorry you got sick. Hope you can have a for-real celebration next weekend.
Our daughter's birthday was a few days ago, so we had her party. Letting five little girls eat cake and run around our house in a sugar-fueled rush wasn't the most romantic way to spend the day, but it was still a lot of fun and our daughter loved it. We'll go out to dinner tonight to celebrate for real.
I'm so sorry! It sucks being sick at any time, let alone on a holiday. Hope you get an extra-special do-over next weekend!
I feel for you. Hope everyone gets better!
And to you, too! We escaped to VT and had a lovely, relaxing time :) Ahem, I mean, it was terrible. I don't want to rub salt in the wound... :/
We planned a well-intended at home dinner (it's freezing in Chicago!)but things went a bit wacky. My son's newly discovered shellfish allergy cropped up in a bad way, and I discovered I had one too. No more lobsters on Valentine's Day in this house! Sorry to hear you were ill. There's nothing worse than the flu, especially on a holiday you want to celebrate.
Hope that nasty flu bug has flown the coop by now. We had a fun weekend with lots of family.
oh no! I hope you're all feeling better...Im terrified of getting the flu. Well I didn't do too much. I ate too much chocolate though!
@Pat- It's still hanging on me and running through the Urchins. I went to bed too, but not in a good way!
@SouthPaw- Thanks. And we did a little of that too.
@Sue- Missed you and the gang too. Thanks.
@Ivy- Thanks! And I did stop in. Loved what you did with the place! :D
@Sherry- Thanks. No, not romantic, but an important film!
@Alex- Thanks. Hoping to.
@Caryn- Thanks! And yeah, not romantic for you, but good mom points being earned! lol. Hope you had a great dinner.
@Stephanie- Thanks so much!
@Loni- Thank you!
@Liz- Glad you and the significant other had fun. ;)
@Stephanie B.- Thanks. And Oh No! Sorry to hear about the allergy flares! Hope all are well.
@Carol- Nope, still here. Glad you got together and had a good time!
@Beth Ellyn- Thanks! I'd usually applaud chocolate intake of any kind, but I'm still on the mend. Hope yours was great!
I hope everyone's feeling better by now!
Sorry to hear you're all under the weather. I hope you get better soon. I did same-old, same-old this week. Write, work, revise, critique, blog post, blog hop, laughing at LOLCats on FB, and er, let's not discuss the house chores, cooking and cleaning. Hate that stuff, but someone has to do it. :P
Happy belated Valentine's Day! And, I hope you are feeling better!
Hi, we're Brandon and Bryan, and this is also "not a spam."
We did absolutely nothing with our respective spouses and it was awesome.
Hope you're feeling better, Ava!
Congrats on your new agent! You have much to celebrate!
Julie
Hey Ava, I nominated you for an award today :) If you don't have time to blog about it, NO WORRIES!! I just wanted to give you a shout-out, especially considering your recent awesome news.
I sure hope everyone is feeling better now. It definitely makes celebrating a holiday challenging when people are running to the bathroom.
We had a laid back holiday...because how crazy can you get when you're almost 9 months pregnant? :)
No one got sick here, but the bathroom renovation that my wife had planned for weeks started running into major problems. Drove her crazy, messing up not only Valentine's day, but also her birthday, which was five days later.
I promised her we'd do it all over again after the bathroom is finished.
